Gazprom says suspends Yubileinoye field production over fire

MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, affiliate of Russian gas giant Gazprom, has suspended production on the Yubileinoye deposit in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District due to a fire on a gas treatment line, the company said in a statement on Friday.

"A fire occurred on the gas treatment utility of the gas producing field Yubileinoye in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District on February 26, 2021, at 8:45 a.m., Moscow time. There are no injured. Production has been suspended," Gazprom Dobycha Nadym said.

The fire area has been contained, all workers evacuated, the company said, adding that the deposit is located far enough from any populated areas not to pose any threat to local people.

The company also said that suspension will not affect supplies to the customers.
